For almost two weeks I have not updated this blog and my other news blog. I have been busy.. super busy at work and we also have violin practice every week for the upcoming company anniversary.

I now happen to have a luxury of a few hours to update my blogs after drinking a cup of coffee. Woaah!! Caffeine boost. I wonder how am I going to get out of bed tomorrow for work.

This is such a lovely song from one of my favorite artist. It was wonderfully written and has a lot of meaning.

It reminds me of everything I have been through.. happy moments, not-so-happy moments, lost opportunities, etc. I love the lyrics. I can pretty much relate to it. This is the story of my life:

I can only do so much but I guess my efforts were not enough!

I don’t know what’s in store for my project, Project Management System (PMS). There are still so many bugs to fix!!

This has led to a realization that I still have to learn so many things in the IT industry but I’m glad there are supportive people that kept on encouraging me. And because of them, I’m still hanging on my ambition to implement PMS, one of the hardest systems to develop.

It was an ordinary day. A program at school was about to begin so cadet trainees were urging students to attend the event.

I’m not feeling well. I feel like throwing up but I don’t want to have a nasty taste on my mouth that’s why I tried with all my might not to vomit.

A friend is worried about my condition so she decided not to attend the program and stayed with me in our classroom which happened to be in the fourth floor. She was so energetic telling me about the recent episode of Dawson’s Creek. We both love the sitcom and we never fail to discuss every episode while majority of our girl classmates are talking about boys and boys are talking about just anything.

I felt the content of my stomach rushed through my throat and I know that I can’t hold it anymore. I ran to the CR but it was quite far from our room. I consider myself lucky for reaching a trash can before spluttering whatever it is that has to be thrown up.

My friend ran after me and she was rubbing my back while I was throwing up. After a few seconds, two medics went to my aid. They probably heard me puking. Oh that’s so embarrassing.

After my puking escapades, the two medics brought me to the clinic and made me lie down on the bed. They asked me a few questions and made me rest for a while.

The talkative guy, who happens to be called Roy, urged his companion, San Diego (Sorry, I only remembered his last name), to sing. This according to him will make me feel better. Unexpectedly, the guy did sing. He sang ‘King and Queen of Hearts’. Hehe. His singing was not that bad but Roy joked that it made me feel even worse. He even told him that he’ll show how the real singing should sound.

.. And he sang.. He has a great voice. I couldn’t believe it at first. My impression of him was a snob and a bad boy who doesn’t know how to smile and no way that incredible voice was to be of the guy I imagined him to be.

But I was wrong. He’s sweet, gentle, and caring. And in that clinic, I developed a crush on him.

He sang Bobby Caldwell’s ‘Heart of Mine’. And for a long time.. until now.. I love that song. I felt his song. During those times in the clinic, I feel like I was being serenaded. It was a wonderful feeling!

I think he was sad that time but I like the way he sang. It was as if he owns the song. It was beautiful!

I learned that he has two siblings. He’s the youngest in the family and his dream was to be a pilot.

I started feeling better after quite a while and I hate it when time flies really fast. Soon, the morning class concluded, he advised me to go home and take a rest. We chatted more and then he made me take some medicines.

Once I got home, I had my lunch and took a nap. I woke up feeling cold and my mom just found out that I have a high fever. I told her that I spent the rest of the morning in the clinic but never mentioned Roy. I was never open to her about this kind of things. Sorry Mom!

My condition got worse in the evening. I tried to just sleep, not liking the feeling of being sick. And that night I dreamt of him!

I watched Sherlock Holmes with FTSP batchmates. The movie was fantastic. Robert Downey, Jr. played his role to perfection. Jude Law also did a wonderful performance. The two of them have great chemistry making the whole movie enjoyable.

I really liked it. I’m a fan of Sherlock Holmes and this time I’m not disappointed with the film adaptation. The movie has a perfect balance of action, adventure, and of course mystery. It’s a good film everyone should watch. ^_^

So yeah, I was singing again. I had a Last Song Syndrome after having High School Musical marathon this week. I know it’s HSM again. Well, even my friends kept on telling me to grow up but I really like High School Musical.

Now, going back to the song, I almost totally forgot how I love this song the first time I hear it. I like the melody and the lyrics. I think they’re sweet! ^_^

For our New Year’s eve, I’ve decided to bake a cake. A friend bought me baking book as Christmas gift and I love everything on it. As in totally everything! And I’m planning to bake them all.

I chose ‘Manhattan Cheesecake’ from the mouth-watering treats in the book. Yesterday, my brother and I went to the local supermarket to get stuff I’ll be needing to bake the yummy cake. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get hold of sour cream. So that’s a big problem for me.

I don’t have time anymore to look for sour cream in other supermarkets so I decided to use all purpose cream as an alternative. I have this habit of not following recipes. I guess I just really want to call them (anything I bake) my own.

I don’t know what will be the effect of using all purpose cream instead of sour cream but I gave it a shot since I have no other choice. Making the cheesecake is very exhausting. After baking it for several minutes I noticed the cake from the oven rising and it bothers me. A couple of more minutes gone and I started to smell something really nice. It was really good! And I became excited.

So that was my adventure on my first cheesecake. Below are the photos of my cake. They’re not that good but I like them. ^_^

I’m about to start watching a movie, It’s a Boy Girl thing, when I suddenly heard a music playing Speedwagon Reo’s In My Dreams. So I paused my player, listen to the song, and started singing:

I just remembered.. I was browsing yesterday’s Top Blogs in News & Journalism category when the standing startled me. The News Chronicle beat Daily Contributor.

I then checked TNC’s site. Oh I like its layout by the way. Great job Richard Neil Ilagan. ^_^ Its clean, the placement of information is nicely done, and it is not bombarded with annoying ads.

So going back.. I was browsing through the site, checking some posts that appeal to me. Then I reached the site’s footer. I noticed that Sir Cards linked my other blogger friends and I was moved to find ‘Sarahness’ on the links.

I wasn’t able to attend this year’s UST Paskuhan, the Thomasian way of celebrating Christmas, since I attended a different event. But some of my friends did.

I was browsing photostream in Flickr when I saw this captivating image of fireworks, I clicked the photo and was directed to the user’s other UST photos. The person take great pictures and she’s a girl!

Anyway, I couldn’t help myself to browse for more pictures and post it here. I was awed by the image of UST.. and I guess I kind of miss my alma matter.
